How We've Helped
Some of the projects funded by the Len Pick Trust can be seen by clicking on the dark green markers on the map below.
For almost 20 years, the Trustees have supported local initiatives to enhance the lives of people in the town and the villages of Cawthorpe, Dyke and Twenty. The grants made have ranged from a few hundred to tens of thousands of pounds. Here are just a few of the more recent examples, to help illustrate the types of project we have been involved with:
SPORT
- Provided Elsea Park Community Trust with a grant to help with the cost of an artificial all weather football pitch.
- Allocated a contribution to the proposed skate park in Bourne.
- Provision of funding for major community events, including Remembrance Sunday parades and the BRM Day in 2012.
- Provided funding for replacement courts at Bourne Tennis Club.
HEALTH/MENTAL WELLBEING
- Helped fund the re-establishment of the Citizen’s Advice service in Bourne, which operates from Wake House.
- One of the first to provide a grant to Don't Lose Hope, enabling the charity's founders to begin their work in supporting mental health in the town. The charity is now well established and has been a great support to many, and the Trust continues to provide Grant funding when required.

WELFARE
- Annual funding of a schools grant scheme, intended to enable disadvantaged children to attend school trips, or provide them with school uniform and other equipment.
